Many species are becoming extinct because of humans. We need to stop this immediately before we not just endanger them but ourselves. In just a decade we have gotten 10 species extinct that is 10 too many some animals even have to be under protection 24/7 because to many people are trying to poach them. Not seeing the danger that they are causing to the human race, meaning no food and for us to enter starvation. We are eliminating nature around us to build things not realizing that we need the plants to survive.
The pyrenean ibex became extinct January 2000. They lived mostly in the Cantabrian Mountains, Southern France, and the northern Pyrenees. The last pyrenean died January 6, 2000 the cause of death was by a fallen tree. Even though we don't fully know how they became extinct there are hypothesis of how, such as the inability to compete with other species for food, infections, diseases, and poaching.

Baiji dolphinThe baiji dolphin is declared functionally extinct after a 2006 expedition failed to find any baiji in the river. The baiji could be the first dolphin species in history that humans have driven to extinction. Also it represents the first documented global extinction of a megafaunal.
